Teaching Assistants: Support in action

Date: Saturday, 08/06/2019

Time: 10:00 - 14:00

Venue: Glasdir, Plas yn Dre, Llanrwst

Teaching assistants are an important resource in education. This workshop, presented by a lecturer from the Open University School of Education, Childhood and Youth, looks at how the role has developed across the UK and particularly in Wales over time.

Certificates are awarded at each session which build towards a dynamic CV and educational learning portfolio.

Teaching Assistants: Support in action

This workshop will explore how the teaching assistant role came into being, and how it has evolved as part of a wider assistant workforce in public services. It will identify the key skills that make teaching assistants such valued members of the school community, particularly in their support of children’s learning and wellbeing.

At the end of the workshop, you’ll get the chance to discover further training and learning opportunities from the OU in Wales.

The workshop is free. To book a place please click here.
