Introduction to the GDPR for EU funded projects

This classroom course by the WCVA is a great opportunity to learn about the key changes introduced by the GDPR and to help you comply with the new regulation.

This course is free for third sector organisations currently delivering or with an interest in delivering an ESF or ERDF funded project or contract.

By the end of the course, learners should:

  • Be familiar with the new principles relating to processing personal data
    Understand the enhanced rights of individuals
  • Be familiar with the six lawful bases for processing data and identify the most appropriate basis to use
  • Understand the legal obligations of a data controller and a data processor
  • Identify when a Data Protection Officer needs to be appointed and what their responsibilities are
  • Know what steps to take in order to comply with the requirements of the GDPR.
